PRODUCT CARE

Alba LAZARÍ creations are distinguished by the exceptional quality of their materials. To ensure each piece retains its aesthetic and remains immaculate over time, proper care is essential. Specific washing and cleaning instructions are detailed on the interior and exterior labels of every item. The following guidelines outline the optimal care required to prolong the lifespan of your garments and accessories.

Composition: 100% Printed Silk

Silk is an exquisite fabric that, with proper care, will preserve the vibrancy of its colours and its signature feel for years to come.

Professional dry cleaning is recommended to prevent any alteration to the colours. Should you choose to hand wash, use cold or lukewarm water with a neutral, bleach-free detergent formulated specifically for silk. Submerge the piece and move it with extreme care for 3 to 5 minutes, strictly avoiding rubbing, wringing, or stretching the fabric. Rinse meticulously with cold water until all residue is completely removed. Machine washing and tumble drying are detrimental and must be avoided.

*Important: Before the first wash, it is imperative to dampen a discreet area with a cotton bud; if the colour transfers, professional dry cleaning is strictly required.

Remove excess moisture by placing the piece between two clean towels and gently pressing, without wringing or twisting. Allow the item to air dry by laying it flat or using a padded hanger, ensuring adequate ventilation whilst strictly avoiding direct sunlight.

Ironing should be undertaken whilst the garment is still slightly damp, and always on the reverse side. It is essential to use the lowest available temperature (silk or delicates setting) and to strictly avoid direct steam, which can cause irreversible marks on the fabric.

Store the pieces in a cool, dry, and dark environment, away from direct sunlight and moisture. For blouses and dresses, employ padded hangers; for scarves and accessories, fold carefully to prevent permanent creasing. For prolonged storage, it is recommended to protect the items within breathable fabric bags.

Composition: 100% Printed Cotton

Cotton is distinguished by its versatility and comfort. Meticulous care will ensure the integrity of its prints and its softness, wash after wash.

Machine wash (standard or delicate cycle) or hand wash in cold or lukewarm water, not exceeding 30°C-40°C to prevent fibre shrinkage and colour fading. Use a gentle detergent free from harsh bleaching agents. It is essential to wash garments inside out and to sort colours meticulously, keeping dark or heavily printed pieces separate from lighter tones.

Favour air drying, either on a hanger or a drying rack. To preserve the vibrancy of the prints, dry garments in the shade or inside out, avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Tumble drying is advised against; should it be absolutely necessary, use a low heat setting and remove the garment promptly to prevent heat damage.

Always iron on the reverse to prevent a shine from developing over the print. Use a medium-to-high heat setting, ideally while the fabric remains slightly damp, or apply steam to smooth out any stubborn creases.

Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space, protected from moisture. Shirts and blouses should be placed on hangers to prevent creasing, whilst the remaining garments may be kept carefully folded.

Composition: 100% Printed Polyester

Polyester is prized for its durability, crease resistance, and excellent colour retention—qualities that make it an exceptional canvas for vibrant prints.

Machine wash (standard or synthetics cycle) in cold or lukewarm water, not exceeding 30°C-40°C to preserve the fibre's thermal structure. Use a standard detergent, avoiding bleaches that may compromise the vibrancy of the design. We recommend washing the garment inside out to minimise surface friction, and sorting colours carefully before washing.

Polyester is naturally quick-drying. We recommend air drying, either laying the garment flat or placing it on a hanger to maintain its shape. Whilst polyester offers excellent resistance to sun fading, drying in the shade will best preserve the longevity of the colour. Tumble drying is optional; if used, select a low to medium heat setting and remove the garment promptly at the end of the cycle to prevent overheating, which can cause static build-up or damage to the fibre.

As a general rule, printed polyester dried on a hanger requires no ironing. Should any stubborn creases persist, it is imperative to iron on the reverse using a very low heat setting (synthetics or delicates cycle). Excessive heat may melt the fibres or cause an unwanted shine. Heavy direct steam at high temperatures should be avoided.

Store in a cool, dry space. Garments may be kept on hangers or neatly folded, owing to their inherent resistance to creasing.

Composition: 100% Printed Wool

Wool is a natural fibre of distinction, renowned for its warmth, exquisite softness, and exceptional durability.

Hand washing is the safest method to protect the integrity of the fibre. Use cold or slightly lukewarm water, paired with a neutral detergent specifically formulated for wool. The use of hot water, as well as any bleaching agent, is strictly prohibited, as these factors will cause irreversible shrinkage (felting) and structural damage. Submerge the garment in the soapy water using the most delicate motions; under no circumstances should the fabric be rubbed, scrubbed, wrung, or stretched. Rinsing must be carried out with clean, cold water, handled with utmost gentleness and without wringing.

*Machine washing (by exception): Only permissible if the appliance features a certified wool cycle with cold water and zero or ultra-low spin, placing the garment in a mesh laundry bag beforehand.

Following washing, do not wring the garment to drain excess water. The correct method entails laying the piece flat on a clean towel, rolling them together, and pressing gently to absorb the moisture. Drying must be carried out strictly flat on a dry surface, ensuring the garment is reshaped and retains its original silhouette. The process requires a well-ventilated space, positioned away from direct sunlight as well as any source of intense heat (such as radiators or heaters), which would cause irreversible damage. Tumble drying is strictly prohibited.

Wool that has been correctly dried and stored seldom requires ironing. Should it be necessary, apply a very low heat setting (wool programme), always placing a fine protective pressing cloth between the iron and the garment. Steam may be used with caution to ease out creases, without applying direct pressure to the fibres.

To preserve their original silhouette, wool garments should be stored neatly folded and laid flat. Hanging knitwear causes stretching and irreversible misshaping. Keep in a cool, dry, and dark environment, well away from moisture. Given the natural character of the fibre, incorporating natural moth repellents—such as cedarwood or lavender—within the storage space is highly recommended.

Printed Silk and Elastane Blend

This technical blend unites the characteristic softness and natural lustre of silk with the comfort, adaptability, and structural resilience of elastane.

Hand washing is recommended using cold or lukewarm water and a neutral detergent formulated for delicates. Bleach should never be used. Gently submerge and agitate the piece for 3 to 5 minutes, refraining from rubbing, wringing, or subjecting the fabric to mechanical stress that may compromise both the silk and the elastane. Rinse thoroughly in cold water. Machine washing should be reserved for exceptional circumstances only, requiring a protective mesh bag, a dedicated cold silk/delicates cycle, and a zero-spin setting.

*Important: Prior to the first wash, it is essential to test an inconspicuous area with a damp cotton bud; should any colour transfer occur, specialist dry cleaning is mandatory.

Remove excess moisture by placing the garment between clean towels and pressing gently. Always air-dry naturally in the shade, laying the piece flat or suspending it from a padded hanger in a well-ventilated environment. Tumble drying is strictly prohibited, as extreme heat irreparably degrades elastane and causes silk to shrink. Keep away from direct sunlight to preserve fibre elasticity and colour intensity.

Iron on the reverse whilst the garment remains slightly damp to prevent pressing marks. Use the lowest heat setting (silk or delicates programme) and refrain from applying direct steam, which may cause water spotting or structural damage to the fabric.

Store in a cool, dark, and moisture-free environment. Blouses or dresses crafted in this blend should be kept on padded hangers to maintain structural integrity and prevent deep creasing. For prolonged storage, the use of breathable fabric garment covers is recommended.

Cotton and Elastane Blend

This technical blend provides the natural breathability of cotton combined with the flexible fit of elastane.

Wash by hand or machine in cold or lukewarm water, not exceeding 30°C–40°C. Hot water causes cotton to shrink and leads to an irreversible loss of elasticity in the elastane. Use a gentle detergent and avoid bleaching agents entirely, as they degrade the colour of both the fabric and the embroidery threads.

Heat is the primary cause of elastane degradation. Natural air-drying is strongly recommended, laying the garment flat on a drying rack or suspending it from a hanger to preserve its structure. Tumble drying should be avoided; if indispensable, use exclusively the lowest heat setting and remove the piece before it is completely dry.

Iron on the reverse, preferably whilst the fabric retains slight moisture to facilitate crease removal. Select a medium heat setting (cotton), avoiding direct contact at high temperatures over areas with elastane or embroidered motifs (polyester thread may develop an unwanted shine or sustain damage under extreme heat). The use of steam is permissible, applied with caution over embroideries or by pressing around them.

Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment, free from moisture. Shirts and blouses should be kept on hangers to preserve their shape; all other garments may be stored neatly folded.

Printed Baby Alpaca Wool and Silk Blend

The blend of baby alpaca and silk represents one of the most exquisite textile compositions, uniting exceptional warmth and lightness with a subtle, elegant lustre.

Hand washing is strictly mandatory. Use a clean basin with cold water (lukewarm or warm water will shrink alpaca and irreversibly damage silk) and a mild, neutral detergent specifically formulated for delicate wools or silk. Any form of bleach is strictly prohibited. Submerge the piece and move it with utmost delicacy for a maximum of 3 to 5 minutes. Do not rub, squeeze, wring, or stretch the garment, as this will distort the alpaca and compromise the silk fibres. Rinse by lifting the piece from the soapy water and submerging it repeatedly in clean cold water with equal gentleness, without wringing.

*Colour fastness test: On printed pieces, verify dye stability prior to the first wash by dampening an inconspicuous area with a cotton bud; should any colour transfer occur, specialist dry cleaning is mandatory.

*Absolute prohibition: Machine washing and tumble drying will cause irreparable damage (shrinkage, felting, and loss of lustre).

Do not wring the piece after rinsing. Lay it flat on a clean, dry towel, roll the towel together, and press gently to absorb excess moisture. Drying must be carried out strictly flat (on a dry towel or mesh rack), ensuring its original shape is preserved. Position in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and any heat sources (such as radiators or heaters), as these will fade the prints and weaken the fibres. The natural drying process requires patience.

Should persistent creases remain, iron the piece whilst it retains slight moisture. It is essential to place a fine protective pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric, and always iron on the reverse. Select the lowest heat setting available (silk or wool/delicates programme). The use of direct steam is strictly prohibited, as the contrast in temperature and moisture damages the fibres.

Fold the piece with utmost care and store flat in a drawer or breathable box. It must never be hung, as gravity will stretch and permanently distort the fabric. Keep in a cool, dark, and dry environment, away from moisture to prevent mould growth. Natural moth deterrents (such as lavender sachets or cedarwood balls) should be placed in close proximity to the piece.

Foldable Eyewear Cases

The Alba LAZARI hard case is crafted around an internal architecture of recycled board bonded with a plant-based adhesive. This sustainable construction requires dedicated care guidelines to ensure the longevity of the accessory.

Washing, submerging, or exposing the case to elevated moisture levels (rain, steam, dew) is strictly prohibited. Water contact irreversibly degrades the internal board structure and plant-based adhesive, leading to a permanent loss of rigidity and folding functionality.

*Exterior cleaning: To remove surface marks, use a dry or lightly dampened cloth with cold water, wiping gently to ensure moisture does not penetrate the fabric or structural profiles.

*Interior cleaning: To maintain the velvety organic cotton lining, use a lint roller or an ultra-soft bristle brush.

*Chemical exposure: Contact with perfumes, alcohol, solvents, or chemical cleaners will cause irreparable damage to both the outer fabric and the organic lining.

*Impact prevention: Avoid subjecting the case to excessive pressure or impacts that may fracture or distort its internal architecture (e.g. compressed luggage compartments).

*Storage: Keep the case either assembled or completely folded flat in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated environment, shielded from dust and direct sunlight.

*Accidental moisture protocol: Should the case come into accidental contact with moisture, it must be left to air-dry in an open position immediately. The use of hair dryers, radiators, or direct sunlight is strictly prohibited; accelerated heat-drying distorts and crystallises the board structure.

Textile & Leather Tote Bags

The Alba LAZARÍ tote bag unites signature printed velvet panels with a structure and base in fine bovine leather, lined with an interior in cotton twill. This architecture calls for dedicated care guidelines to preserve its silhouette, chromatic vibrancy, and the original texture of each surface over time.

Machine washing, immersion, and conventional dry cleaning are strictly prohibited. Its dual velvet and leather construction demands zoned, manual maintenance to protect the fibres and prevent moisture transfer.

*Printed Velvet: Gently brush in the direction of the pile using a soft-bristled brush or textile lint roller. For isolated marks, dab delicately with a well-wrung cloth dampened in cold water, without rubbing so as not to crush the pile.

*Leather base and handles: Clean with a soft, dry cloth in a neutral shade. To preserve the suppleness of the leather, periodically apply a minimal amount of fine leather balm, strictly avoiding any contact with the adjacent velvet.

*Lining: Remove dust and particles with a lint roller. Should an isolated mark appear, dab gently with a lightly dampened white cloth and allow to air-dry completely.

*Chemical Exposure: Contact with perfumes, alcohol-based sanitisers, solvents, or cosmetics causes irreversible damage to the leather and the pigments of the signature print.

*Silhouette maintenance: Fill the interior with acid-free tissue paper or soft cotton fabric when not in use. This practice preserves the architectural poise of the leather base and prevents permanent creases or folds.

*Storage and resting position: Store the bag upright on its base in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space, preferably within its protective dust bag. Avoid hanging it by the handles to prevent undue tension and misshaping of the leather.

*Light and thermal protection: Shield the piece from direct, prolonged sunlight and active heat sources (such as radiators or vehicle interiors). Heat dehydrates the leather, whilst intense light can diminish the chromatic nuances of the print.

*Accidental moisture protocol: In the event of rain or splashes, immediately blot away excess water by dabbing gently with a dry, absorbent cloth. Allow to dry naturally at room temperature; the use of hairdryers or direct heat is strictly prohibited.
